LHIMS and Disease Surveillance
LHIMS has been at the forefront of monitoring new diseases and identifying anomalies seen within the consulting room and diagnostic labs, to help early detection of infectious diseases in Ghana. LHIMS Monitor uses independently developed deep learning techniques and specialized algorithms to predict potential epidemics, flag unknown diseases, backtrace disease spreads, implement contact tracing and identifying patient zero.
The LHIMS brings about Early Warning capabilities using real data data collection and processing techniques coupled with Machine Learning and Syndromic capabilities. The Ability to track as well as learn from both events, cases and manual thoughts make the system unique.
The LHIMS Monitor
The LHIMS Monitor system takes data from the EHR and passes it through a layer of clinical analysis and segmentation and then presents it to a layer of syndrome based algorithms which are based on a feedback based learning system.
The system also has interfaces to process IDSR data sets, case based investigation data and event triggers for which an accompanying Mobile App is provided.
The System is integrated with Emails and Messaging systems to ensure 2-way communication as well as 1 to many communication is available as and when required.
LHIMS also helps in early detection, notification and providing guidance on response protocols.
